What to expect
Sunday Morning Worship
9:30 - 11:00am
Centered on the Word of God
"Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight."
Acts 20:7
Each Sunday, as was the practice of the early church, we assemble to worship God and hear from Him, through the teaching of His Word. We never preach until midnight.
We sing His praises with both doctrinally rich traditional hymns and the contemporary choruses that are a such a blessing to Christians today.
While, occasionally, we will have a topical message. We favor expositional preaching as it is the best way to learn what God wants to teach us. What does this look like? In our sermon preparation, we take defined passages of God’s Word and study them carefully so that we “rightly handle the word of truth.” From the pulpit, it will look like the picture we see in Nehemiah 8:8: “They read from the book . . . clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.” God has both purposed and promised to use this kind of preaching to accomplish one of his great aims—the gathering and building up of his people.
As far as, how should you dress? Come as you are.
